Introducing our 2025 Convention Speaker

Jen Hargrove  

M.Photographer, M.Artist, Cr., CPP
Jen specializes in fine art character, pet and child portraiture as well as fine art waterscapes and abstracts.
She is a PPA Master of  Photography, Photographic Craftsman, Master Artist and CPP as well as a MPI Master of Portraiture with accreditation in Character Portraits and Animal Portraits, and a WPPI Associate.  
She is also a member of the ASP (American Society of Photographers, IPPA (Intermountain), and TPPA (Texas).
She’s the current Past President of the IPPA Board of Directors as well as the Degree and Awards Chairperson.
Jen strongly believes in the importance of continuing education and the role image competition has along with education in growing and evolving as a photographer, as well as a business owner, she also believes that all photographers have a responsibility to help educate other photographers, as well as clients.
Jen and Tim, her husband (and part time lighting assistant) reside in Big Piney, Wyoming with their dog, Owen. They have four children, Kennedy, Collin, Hayden and Payton as well as three granddaughters, Addyson, Rilynn and Avianna and four grandsons, Hudson, Lincoln, Grayson and Mason.
 
Jen and Tim love to travel and Jen is a lifelong Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.

The Fine Art Studio portion of the WPPA Convention is the complete hands on workshop.

 

What to Bring: Your Camera, Lenses, Laptop, Extension Cord, Notebook, Pen

We will be photographing toddlers, dogs and a few actors.

 

From fine art character portraits, pet portraits and child portraits to fine art destination senior portraits. 

 

Jen will share how she has successfully created a high end fine art portrait business.
Jen will cover her  process start to finish from client consultation, the time in front of the camera (posing and lighting, simple prop selection), sales, post processing, (history brush and frequency separation, etc..) marketing, etc.
 
She will also cover her favorite and most popular products.  
 
This course will also cover how Jen works with fundraisers and high profit mini sessions, fine art pop up and on location studios. Jen will also cover her favorite destinations for seniors and how her senior selection process.
 
This workshop is a hands on workshop so please bring camera/lenses and a laptop for post processing.

This Release extends to any and all claims I have or later may have against the “RELEASED PARTIES” resulting from or arising out of their performance of their Association duties whether or not such claims result from negligence (except willful neglect) on the part of any or all of the “RELEASED PARTIES” with respect to the EVENT(S) or with respect to the conditions, qualifications, instructions, rules or procedures under which the EVENT(S) are conducted or from any other cause.
