Nomination for the WPPA Grand Awards is Open

Each year WPPA honors some of our volunteers with what is called the Grand Awards.   It takes the hard work of volunteers and their dedication to keep an organization such as the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association at the forefront.  

Nominations are open for the Grand Awards.  Fill out the nomination link and have it submitted by April 15th at 11:00p.m central time.  Descriptions of the Awards are also listed on the nomination form.

Who deserves to be nominated for the honor or an award.

 

  • Look around, who do you see volunteering, either on the board or on a committee? 
  • Who may have impacted you the most by what they have done for you in the field of photography?
  • Who might have had a great impact on WPPA as a whole?
  • Those are only some examples.

 

 

What award should I nominate someone for?

  • Read the awards criteria.
  • Find the award that most fits the WPPA member’s achievements.
  • See if this person has already received this award, if so then look at other award criteria’s.

 

 

Filling out the nomination form.

  • Answer all the questions on the nomination form.
  • When asked to tell a story about them or list their achievements, do your homework. 
  • Find out as much as you can about the person.

 

The achievements must be relevant.  You must clearly understand the meaning of the achievements in the context of the award.  How have you as a member benefited or WPPA, benefited as a result of your nominee’s efforts.

 

Explain the activities that the nominee carried out and if possible, how did they help WPPA and its members. Give a very specific measure of success. include the significance of the particular acts that the nominee did. 

 

It is crucial that you highlight anything that makes your nominee stand out from the rest and mention how the particular activities or what they have helped with was impactful.

The nomination letter should begin with an opening statement that briefly states why the nominee deserves an award. The statement should clearly outline the contributions the nominee has made and how his or efforts have been helpful.
